Want to put up a professional website and you’re wondering where to start? Today I spoke with Loic Jeanjean, Online Marketing Strategist at AdvisorWebsites.com about internet marketing for financial services professionals.

AdvisorWebsites.com has been around now for about 7 years in Vancouver and they provide compliant financial services websites for financial advisors and financial institutions in Canada and the USA. In this podcast, Loic and I talk about where to start when you’re thinking about marketing online, and what you’ll need to consider along the way.

The biggest objection many advisors have in setting up a website is the amount of time it takes them and the compliance clearances that are required. AdvisorWebsites.com saves you the time by maintaining your website for you and providing compliant solutions ‘out-of-the-box’.

Starting today, AdvisorWebsites and I will be cross-posting on each other’s blogs. You’ll see some blog posts by me over on their blog and some of theirs right here on mine. You can see Loic’s latest post gives you some good advice about Search Engine Optimization.

Earlier this month, I began reading Howards book, The Wallstrip Edge, where he discusses his investment strategy of using trends to follow stocks to new all-time highs.

I managed to get some time with Howard to discuss his investment strategy, and ask him about his economic and market predictions for next year. While he’s not at liberty to do too much in the way of stock market prediction, he does discuss how he’s using the StockTwits Desktop social stream to uncover new trends and community interactions.

Lastly, asked him to point me to the best starting place for busy finance professionals interested in getting information on internet marketing.

<itunes:summary>Howard Lindzon, Founder of StockTwits.com and author of The Wallstrip Edge talks stocks, trends, and technology in this New Years Edition audio interview.

Earlier this month, I began reading Howards book, The Wallstrip Edge, where he discusses his investment strategy of using trends to follow stocks to new all-time highs.

I managed to get some time with Howard to discuss his investment strategy, and ask him about his economic and market predictions for next year. While he's not at liberty to do too much in the way of stock market prediction, he does discuss how he's using the StockTwits Desktop social stream to uncover new trends and community interactions.

Lastly, asked him to point me to the best starting place for busy finance professionals interested in getting information on internet marketing.</itunes:summary>
